A host of Asian and Indian influences appear in the design and decoration of this chic property, a discreet reference to the origins of the owner’s family. You’ll notice it in the choice of colors, the artworks in the lounge and in the rooms, as well as in the partly private photographs in the breakfast dining hall. A touch of Asia, but in Vasastan – one of Stockholm’s most vibrant neighborhoods. This hotel is about 13mins walking distance to Drottninggatan – Stockholm’s most famous shopping street. If you continue for another 8 mins you’ll be in the city.

Getting Around Stockholm

By now, you may have already arranged with your travel agents about the choice of airlines that will fly you to Sweden. Arlanda International Airport is the main arrival airport when flying into Stockholm. It is located in the municipality of Sigtuna, about 42km from Stockholm city centre.

Here are your options to get to the city:

Arlanda Express Train

Buy your tickets at the airport’s information desks or in the Arlanda Express self-service machines. Travel time to Stockholm Central Station is only 18 mins. Timetables and ticket prices are available here:  https://www.arlandaexpress.com/

Regular Commuter Train

SL’s commuter trains to Stockholm departs from Arlanda Central Station in Sky City, the area between the terminals 4 and 5. Total travel time to Stockholm Central Station is 38 mins.  You can purchase tickets at the normal SL and UL sales points and at Arlanda Central station or at these websites: https://sl.se/en/ and https://www.ul.se/en

Buses

You can choose among three different routes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to central Stockholm which has a travel time of about 45 mins. All buses depart every 10mins from every terminal. The last stop is located at Cityterminalen (Central Bus Station) next to Stockholm Central train station. If you are arriving late at night, SL (Stockholm Transport) operates night bus 592 between Arlanda and central Stockholm via Knivsta station and Arlanda. For timetables and ticketing information, visit SL’s website: https://sl.se/en/

Taxis

Taxis are available directly outside all terminals. You’ll only find taxis at the taxi stand that have an agreement with Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The maximum price for trips within the marked zone boundaries is SEK 675 (US$68). This price is for 1–4 passengers and to one address. For additional 5–8 passengers the price varies between the different taxi companies. Always ask the driver before you start your trip about what price is in effect. Moreover, inform the taxi rank officer if you need a larger car, a specially equipped car or if you simply would like to have a specific taxi company.

For travel outside the marked zone boundaries, the meter rate applies. Free price setting applies to taxi rides in Sweden since the taxi market is deregulated. Choose the company and car that best suits you, you do not need to take the car that is first in line.

Always ask if the taxi company applies fixed prices. If you have received a fixed price, it should be entered and visible in the taxi meter before your journey starts. The taxi meter must be activated throughout your journey.

Rental Cars

At Stockholm Arlanda Airport you can rent cars at Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt. You can easily and conveniently book your rental car here: https://www.swedavia.com/arlanda/rental-car/

The car rental offices are located at Arlanda’s car rental area P2 Beta Long-term parking, except for Sixt which is located at the Swedavia P3 Alfa Long-term parking. Cars are collected from and returned to the car rental company’s office, unless otherwise agreed.

For more information about arrival experiences at the airport, please visit the Arlanda International Airport website: https://www.swedavia.com/arlanda/

Once you get to Stockholm city centre, connections can easily be made with commuter trains, buses or the underground. You may check all the transport options here, including ticket prices and timings: https://sl.se/en/.  If you prefer to take a taxi, please note that fares vary since the Swedish taxi market is not regulated. Choose the company that suits you best; you do not have to take the first taxi in the queue. Always ask for a receipt for your payment.
